About me

The most profound technologies are those that disappear. They weave themselves into the fabric of everyday life until they are indistinguishable from it.

Mark Weiser in “The Computer for the Twenty-First Century”

I am a Doctor in Computer Science (CINVESTAV-IPN, 2018) with specialty in Mobile Computing. My interests are around cognitive computing and its applications for Cyber-Physical and IoT Systems, in particular the perception-action cycle and the ways for incorporating the information learned from the environment into decision making for a wide range of purposes (think about Cognitive Devices, Smart Cities, Smart Traffic Control, and others).

Also, I am a Software Engineer, so I like to dirt my hands implementing ideas directly at the device to obtain a realistic insight of the feasibility of the designed method. Also, for fun.

I was a Postdoctoral Researcher in a joint project for enhanced storage services in Multi-Access Edge Computing, between Dell and MISL at UCC (University College Cork) in the beautiful People’s Republic of Cork in Ireland.

After that, I became a PTC (Profesor de Tiempo Completo / Full Time Professor) at ITESM (Tec de Monterrey, the leading private university in Mexico) where I taught a variety of CS courses like Web Applications Development, Machine Learning, Programming Languages, and Computational Mathematics.

Currently, I am an Application Developer at Oracle Mexico, where I am working developing a web application using a new set of cool technology from Oracle.

I am open for research opportunities around my profile and interests, even abroad. Please reach to me if you are interested in collaborating.
